Gall midges(Insecta: Diptera: Nematocera: Bibionomorpha: Sciaroidea: Cecidomyiidae). As small insects that are of great significance to agriculture and forestry, they include pests that harm crops, fruits and vegetables,as well as beneficial insects that feed on plants fungi, aphids, scale insects and mites. In recent years, two types of unknown pests of Cecidomyiidae have appeared in large numbers on the plants of Syringa spp.and Lycium spp.in China, which negatively affected the economic income of related domestic agricultural industries. Therefore,it is of great significance to study two types of unknown pests of Cecidomyiidae in terms of taxonomy, phylogenetics and geographical distribution. In addition, this paper provides a rapid identification method by taxonomy to study wood pests of Cecidomyiidae. These two similarly shaped wood pests of Cecidomyiidae that seriously endanger wood and cause serious economic losses were discovered in Jingdong and Kunming,Yunnan Province,China. This paper describes one new genus, one new species, two new subspecies of the lilac gall midge, one new genus, two new species of the goji gall midge, and two new species of the wood gall midge.A total of two new genus, five new species, and two new subspecies were found. In terms of morphology, biology and molecular sequence, this article compares and studies the related gall midge species at home and abroad, and provides detailed descriptions of the morphological characteristics, specimen information, characteristic pattern and color pictures of some disaster symptoms of related new genus and species of gall midges. The paper also constructs morphological phylogeny with Win Clada Ver1.00.08 and simply analyzes the geographical distribution of the lilac gall midge and the goji gall midge in the world. The following are the result of the experiment:1.A new genus of the lilac gall midge based on morphology, biology and molecular sequence information has been erected: Pekinomyia gen.nov.with one new species:Pekinomyia syringae sp.nov.and two new subspecies: Pekinomyia syringae haidianensis subsp.nov.and Pekinomyia syringae huairouensis subsp.nov.Establishment of a new genus of the goji gall midge based on morphology, biology and molecular sequence information:Jinqumyia gen.nov.with one new species: Jinqumyia lycantha sp.nov.And another new goji gall midge species,Contarinia wuweiensis sp.nov.has also been erected. And establishment of two new wood gall midge species: Ledomyia incurvula sp.nov.and Ledomyia excurvula sp.nov.2.Identification keys to the lilac gall midge and the goji gall midge in the world are established based on the results of morphological studies. In addition, this paper formulates a rapid identification method for identifying two wood gall midge species in Yunnan Province. At the same time,an identification key for the Chinese wood gall midge and Ledomyia emilyae similar to the morphological characteristics of the Chinese wood gall midge is formulated.3.The phylogenetic tree of the lilac gall midge and the goji gall midge are constructed based on morphological data.A preliminary phylogenetic study to analyze the relationships between the Chinese lilac gall midge and Supertribe, and explore the relationships among the members of the goji gall midge in the world.4.The geographical distribution of the lilac gall midge and the goji gall midge in the world are analyzed: The lilac gall midge are only distributed in the Palaearctic Region;while the goji gall midge are most widely distributed in the Palaearctic Region and the Neotropical Region.
