The purpose of this experiment is to study the effects of fermented Chinese herbal medicine residues on the production performance, egg quality, blood biochemical indexes, liver lipid metabolism and antioxidant function of laying ducks in the late laying period. In the experiment,144 healthy ducks from Youxian County,60 weeks old, were randomly divided into 4 treatments, with 6 replicates in each treatment and 6 ducks in each replicate.Control group A was fed basal diet, experimental group B was fed basal diet + 1% fermented Chinese herbal medicine residue, experimental group C was fed basal diet + 2% fermented Chinese medicine residue, experimental group D was fed basal diet + 4% Fermentation of Chinese herbal medicine residues, the experimental period is 8 weeks. The experiment measured production performance, egg quality, blood biochemical indicators and liver antioxidant function, and the results showed that:1)The average daily feed intake, egg production rate, shell breaking rate, and soft shell rate of the experimental group added with fermented Chinese herbal medicine residues in the diet were not significantly different from those of the control group(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the feed-to-egg ratio of the experimental group has a decreasing trend with the increase of the amount of fermented Chinese herbal medicine residue(P=0.082);2)On the 28 th day of the test period, there were no significant differences in egg weight, egg shape index, egg shell thickness, egg shell weight, egg shell hardness, and egg yolk weight in each group of tested eggs(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the concentration of protein in the experimental group has a tendency to increase(P=0.054),the experimental group B increased by 7.15%,the experimental group C increased by 2.26%,and the experimental group D increased by 6.2%.Compared with the control group, the egg yolk index of experimental group B and experimental group D was significantly different(P<0.05),and both increased by 17.24% compared with the control group.Compared with the control group, the Haugh unit of the experimental group was significantly different(P<0.01);3)On the 56 th day of the test period, there was no significant difference in egg weight, egg shape index, egg shell thickness, egg shell weight, egg shell hardness, egg yolk index, and concentrated protein height among the tested samples on the 56 th day(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the egg yolk weight of the experimental group has a tendency to increase(P=0.070),the experimental group B increased by 3.60%,the experimental group C increased by 3.14%,and the experimental group D increased by 9.48%.Compared with the control group, the Haugh unit of the experimental group has a tendency to increase(P=0.075),increasing by 12.00%,21.96%,and 4.22% respectively;4)The content of ALT in the serum of the three experimental groups has a tendency to increase compared to the control group(P=0.077);the content of AST in the three experimental groups has a tendency to increase compared to the control group(P=0.064).Serum HDL-C content in experimental group B and experimental group C has a tendency to increase compared to the control group, and there is no significant difference between the groups(P>0.05);serum LDL-C content is compared with experimental group B There was a decreasing trend in the control group, and there was no significant difference between the groups(P>0.05);5)Compared with the control group, the liver weight of Youxian ducks in the experimental group is significantly different(P<0.05),the experimental group B is 25.23%lower than the control group, the experimental group C is 21.54% lower than the control group, and the experimental group D is lower than the control group.Reduced by 28.54%;6)Compared with the control group, the T-AOC activity of Youxian ducks in the experimental group had a tendency to increase(P=0.063),and the experimental group B was the highest;the liver MDA content was not significantly different between the groups(P>0.05);The liver GSH-Px activity experimental group B and experimental group D are significantly different(P<0.05),and the difference between the other groups is not significant(P>0.05);liver SOD activity experimental group C and experimental group D have significant differences compared with the control group Increasing trend(P=0.055),among which experimental group B was the highest;there was no significant difference in liver TG and TC content between groups(P>0.05).In summary, adding fermented Chinese herbal medicine residues has a certain effect on the production performance and egg quality of Youxian duck during the late laying period, and can improve the antioxidant capacity of the liver.
