| DA-6 and compound sodium nitrophenolate(CSN)are highly effective plant growth regulators that can improve seed vigour,promote seedling growth and development,and have significant effects on a variety of crops in terms of yield increase,stress resistance,disease resistance,quality improvement and early maturity.The application of DA-6 and CSN in existing studies have been mainly by foliar spraying.,and there are fewer studies on direct application to seeds,and the studies on seed treatment mainly focus on the seedling stage,with fewer studies on the effect on field growth.In this study,the seeds of maize were treated with different concentrations of DA-6 and CSN to investigate the effects of DA-6 and CSN on seed vigour,field emergence characteristics,agronomic traits and yield,and to provide a theoretical basis for the application of DA-6 and CSN in maize production.The main findings of the study are as follows.1.The applicable amount of DA-6 seed dressing can effectively improve the vigour of maize seed and promote the growth and development of seedlings.The vigour index of maize seeds of the three varieties was significantly increased by 13.9% 、 13.7% and 8.2%,respectively,compared with the control,and was significantly higher than that of the other treatments,and the root length and dry weight of seedlings per plant also increased significantly compared with the other treatments and the control,after the seeds of Zhengdan958,Sanyu 335 and Bongyu 339 were treated with 150 mg/L of DA-6.Seedling emergence and seedling weight of the three varieties of maize seed treated with 150 mg/L of DA-6 in the field increased the most compared to the control and other treatments.DA-6 treatment significantly increased the leaf area index,leaf colour,chlorophyll content and photosynthetic capacity of maize at all stages of fertility,which contributed to the increase in dry matter accumulation.DA-6 seed dressing treatment significantly increased the thousand grain weight of maize seeds and improved maize yield.150 mg/L DA-6 seed dressing treatment increased the yield of Zhengdan 958 and Xianyu 335 by 2.3% and 2.49% respectively compared with the control.2.The effect of the seed dressing treatment with CSN at the appropriate concentration on the growth and development of maize was similar to that of the seed dressing treatment with DA-6,and the best treatment effect was achieved at a seed dressing concentration of 200mg/L.The seed vigour index of maize seeds of the three varieties was significantly increased by 15.9%、12.4% and 6.7% respectively after the seed dressing treatment at 200 mg/L compared with the control,and was significantly higher than that of the other treatments.The treatment with 200 mg/L CSN significantly increased the root length and dry weight of maize seedlings,significantly increased the seedling emergence rate and seedling weight of the three varieties,significantly increased the leaf colour value from the nodulation stage to the filling stage of the three varieties,and significantly increased the above-ground dry matter quality of maize of the three varieties at all stages of reproduction.The yield of Zhengdan 958 was increased by 2.2% compared to the control,the yield of Bangyu 339 was increased by 2.1%compared to the control.3.The composite seed dressing of DA-6 and CSN also affected seed vigour,seedling emergence characteristics,agronomic traits and yield increase of maize seeds of Zhengdan958,Xianyu 335 and Bangyu 339 varieties,with the best promotion effect at 100+100 mg/L.However,the combined application of DA-6 and CSN is not as good as that of single application under the conditions of this test,and further research is needed for the combination of DA-6 and CSN. |
