Soybean is one of the main food crops in China,and it is also an important oil crop in China.With the improvement of the living standards of Chinese re sidents,the demand for soybean has increased year by year,and the problems of pests and diseases in the process of soybean planting have seriously affected the yield and quality of soybean.Seed coating can effectively prevent pests from attacking the sown seeds and seedlings,and the uniformity of seed coating can affect many aspects such as seed water absorption and chemical release,which can further affect the quality of seed.Therefore,during the sustainable development of the China’s soybean industry,more attention should be paid to the coating work before soybean sowing in order to better meet the demand for soybean in production.The soybean seed is large and the skin is thin.When the seeding tray and the liquid medicine atomizing disc rotated coaxially at high speed,the uniformity of the seed coating became poor.As a result,the seed coat was wrinkled,and the wrinkled seed could not meet the requirements of modern soybean seed coating.To this end,a seed and medicine mixing device was designed for the soybean seed coating machine based on the original soybean seed coating machine.The systematic design and research of the seed and medicine mixing device were carried out by consulting data,mechanics and kinematics analysis,modular design,finite element simulation,EDEM discrete element simulation,and test verification.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)This paper optimized the design of the double-disc seed and medicine mixing device using the idea of modular design.The test device was divided into three modules for design: the seeding and homogenizing module,the power module,and the auxiliary module,which could be combined according to different test requirements.Combined with the kinematic analysis of seeds in the seed and medicine mixing device,the parameters of key components in ea ch module and the factors affecting the seeding performance of the seed and medicine mixing device were determined.(2)This paper used ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis software to carry out modal analysis of the motor shaft in the power module,and carried out the first 6 modal analysis of the shaft to determine the various steps of the shaft.The modal frequency and the deformation part were determined.Combined with the simulation results,the optimization of the motor shaft was improved,and the force structure of the shaft was improved.(3)This paper used EDEM discrete element software to perform single-factor simulation experiments on the seeding performance of seed and medicine mixing device.The particle model of soybean seed was constructed based on soybean 253,and a three-dimensional model of seed and medicine mixing device was established by using Creo three-dimensional software.The results of the single-factor simulation test determined the range of values for each factor: the feeding height was 10~18 mm,the diameter of the seeding tray was 280~320 mm,and the rotational speed of seeding tray was 240~360 r/min.(4)This paper had carried out experimental research on the seed and medicine mixing device using a single factor test and an orthogonal rotation combination test.The test results show ed that the primary and secondary factors affecting the seeding performance of the seed and medicine mixing device were the rotational speed of seeding tray,the feeding height,and the diameter of the seeding tray.Through parameter optimization and solution,the best parameter combination was that the minimum uniformity coefficient of variation was 9.49% when feeding height,diameter of seeding tray and rotational speed of seeding tray was 15 mm,303 mm and 293 r/min,respectively.According to the optimization results,a verification test was performed on the obtained optimal parameter combination.The test verification results basically coincided with the optimization results,verifying the reliability of the optimization results,and providing a reference for the optimization of the double-disc seed and medicine mixing device of seed coating machine.The design and related research in this paper improved the working performance of seed coating machine double disc seed medicine mixing device,laid the test conditions for subsequent optimization of the parameters of the double disc seed and medicine mixing device.The research in this paper also promoted further development of the mechanization of soybe an seed coating.
