Study On Functional Space Composite Mode Of Intensive Residential Complex

With the continuous accumulation of urban population and the increasingly severe conflict between people and land,the traditional residential area that has been developed with the guidance of “functional division” and “neighborhood unit” has gradually shown many drawbacks-such as leading to urban fragmentation and traffic congestion.The monotonous traditional forms of living has failed to meet the needs of urban expansion and renewal.As an open-type functional,high-density residential building type,the intensive residential complex is emerging in China in recent decades.However,due to the late start of China’s residential complex and the lack of theoretical research,problems such as patterning and homogenization of the practice of residential complexes merges.Thus,this paper focuses on the decomposition and reorganization of the functional space in residential complex using the functional space composite as research approach,and then explores more forms of residential complex that are in line with China’s future development.First of all,based on the analysis of concept and characteristics of residential complex,the necessity of the development of the residential complex in China is proposed.By comparing and collecting the construction experience in early-start areas,similarity and difference between theirs and China’s residential complexes are found.Furthermore,the future development direction and opportunities of China’s residential complexes as a guiding ideology for later research emerges.Moreover,this paper decomposes the function and spatial form of the residential complex-starting from the three kinds of function: residence,business and office,and then summarizing and numbering each possible functional form to make up a collection of basic functional units.According to the guiding ideology,under certain rules,the basic functional units are transformed and reassembled.Finally those composite samples with useful value are screened out to form a composite sample set with diverse and differentiated residential complexes.Finally,combined with current urban environment in China,this paper attempts to make a tentative application of the composite sample through the variation and combination of the composite samples and the case evidence.It is hoped to provide reference and basis for the design of intensive residential complex in urban complex environment.
