Over the past decade,the cooperative driving at intersections has attracted people’s interest.At the same time,traffic safety and traffic efficiency at non-signaled intersections have become a global hot issue.At the intersection without signal control,drivers can only make their own decisions through eye contact and according to their own judgment.The interaction between drivers directly affects the traffic safety at the intersection and the efficiency of the road.This paper studies the evolution of drivers’ behavior and road traffic efficiency through setting rational game rules at non-signaled intersections by starting from the plane road with non-signaled intersections.At first,it discusses the changes of the traffic flow,average speed and phase diagram of the non-signal-controlled intersection based on periodic boundary under the influence of the driver’s decision.By analyzing the computer simulation data,we found that:(1)For the intersection without signal control,the probability that drivers choose to change their original strategy after a game failure will affect the traffic flow of the system to a large extent;Moderate the vehicle density is the most conducive to efficiency of road traffic,the relationship between the flow and density of the vehicles in general is inverted U type,when the vehicle density is lower,the system of traffic will increased with the increase of the density of vehicles,the vehicle move freely within the system,when the vehicle density is higher,traffic has a tendency to decrease in the system,and system of traffic jams gradually increases;(2)When the stable state is reached,the final cooperation frequency of the system is at0.5.(3)When the difference of system traffic flow and system average speed between signal-controlled intersections and non-signal-controlled intersections is compared.The result shows that the traffic flow and vehicle speed of the system without signal control are better than that of the signalized intersection under the condition of high density.Then,the phase diagram of the non-signal-controlled intersection based on open boundary under the influence of driver’s decision is discussed.By analyzing the computer simulation data,we found that:For non-signaled intersections or signal-controlled intersections,the system will present three phases: low density phase(LD),maximal currentphase(MC)and high density phase(HD).When the system is in the low-density phase,most of the system will be in the state of free flow,the number of vehicles in the system is small,the vehicles can move freely,and the traffic flow of the system can’t stop increasing.When the system is in the phase of maximum flow,the flow in the system is in the maximum value,and the maximum flow has no obvious relation with the change of vehicle density.When the system is in the high density phase,the system is in the blocking phase most of the time,and the traffic flow in the system continues to decrease.By comparing the phase diagrams of non-signaled intersections and signalized intersections,it is found that the maximum flow phase of signalized intersections is less than that of non-signaled intersections under the control of game rules.
