With the improvement of living standards,people’s requirements for the comfort of dining space have gradually increased.The acoustic environment of the dining space has received more and more attention as an important indicator for the evaluation of indoor environmental quality.In addition,in the emergency state,the noise of the public space is not conducive to the broadcast information,reducing the space security.The main source of noise in the dining space is crowd noise,whose noise level is affected by many factors.Among them,the Lombard effect is an important mechanism for the formation of crowd noise.The Lombard effect is a phenomenon in which people do not consciously increase the volume of speech when they are in a noisy environment.The main mechanism for this phenomenon is the language feedback in communication.Therefore,the study of the Lombard effect,especially the slope of the Lombard effect and the starting point of the Lombard effect,is of great significance for controlling the noise of people in the dining space.To improve the overall comfort of the dining space.Firstly,this paper conducts a laboratory test of the Chinese Mandarin Lombard effect.Through the dialogue experiments under different ambient noises in the laboratory,the Lombard effect starting point and the Lombard effect slope in the Putonghua context are obtained.Secondly,on the basis of laboratory tests,based on the theoretical derivation,based on the classical calculation formula of indoor sound pressure level,the noise prediction model of the dining space crowd considering the proportion of speech is obtained.Thirdly,the Lombard slope was obtained by conducting field tests in college canteens with large populations and high population density.Through the analysis of the results,it is also found that the proportion of the people’s speech is not fixed,but gradually decreases with the increase of ambient noise,and the prediction model is corrected accordingly.From the perspective of acoustic design,the architectural design strategy is proposed from three aspects: the limit of average person area in acoustics view,building size and functional layout,and noise reduction processing.Through the research of the Lombard effect,this paper obtains the variation law of the noise of the people in the dining space and its prediction model.Provide theoretical support and design ideas for improving the indoor environmental quality of dining space.
