| Existing building engineering occupies a significant share in the construction industry,so it is of great practical significance to apply BIM technology to existing building engineering.the current research on BIM in existing building life cycle mainly focuses on the application of adopting BIM into existing building facilities and renovations.There is currently a lack of research to comprehensively and systematically analyze the obstacles to the application of BIM technology in the life cycle of existing buildings.The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze the obstacles to the application of BIM technology in the existing building life cycle,and use these models to analyze the key obstacles to the application of BIM technology in the life cycle of existing buildings.Then,in order to provide theoretical basis and reference for industry practice,this paper will put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the analysis of the key obstacles and combined with existing studies and practical experience.Analyzing the obstacles to the application of BIM technology in the life cycle of existing buildings can not only provide a direction reference for subsequent in-depth research,but also provide a basis for formulating policies and measures to promote the application of BIM technology in the life cycle of existing buildings,and then promote the existing application development of BIM technology in the industry of architecture,engineering and construction.Firstly,the existing studies about using BIM into existing building engineering was analyzed.The methodology and ideas adopted in this research were determined to play a theoretical foundation for the following work.Then,through the research and analysis of 116 Chinese and English literatures,a large number of relevant literature materials are obtained.Using the literature research method,the obstacles of applying BIM technology in toexisting building projects are recognized and extracted.At the same time,this study adopted the Delphi method to correct all obstacles,and then constructed a comprehensive and objective list of obstacles to the application of BIM technology in existing building projects.Then,in order to scientifically find out the critical obstacles of using BIM technology into the existing building life cycle,this research using questionnaire survey method together with the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)model,based on the questionnaire data collection,using the AHP model to quantitatively analyze the obstacles to list all the relative weight of inhibitors,weights based on sorting,identified both the BIM technology application in construction engineering the key obstacle factors.Finally,this study discusses the critical obstacles out of causes and characteristics to explain their rationality,and proposes countermeasures towards these critical obstacles.The study focusingon other directions of this field is still in sufficient.As for using BIM into existing building life cycle,the negative influence of organizational obstacles is the highest,the negative influence of technical obstacles is the second,and the negative influence of environmental obstacles is the lowest.The lack of professional talents,the high cost of BIM modeling and the low perceived value of BIM application by stakeholders are three key obstacles to the application of BIM technology in existing building projects.This research result reveals the reasons for the slow development of BIM technology application in existing building projects in China,and also proves the objective reality of the industry.It is a necessary measure to accelerate the advancement of BIM in existing building life cycle to formulate corresponding countermeasures to tackle the three critical obstacles to the application of BIM technology in existing building projects. |
