With the development of modernization,rotating machinery has become more and more common in industrial production occasions related to people’s livelihood,such as electric metallurgy,petrochemical,aerospace and defense,and the vibration problem accompanying high-speed rotating machinery has also attracted more and more attention.Magnetorheological Elastomer(MRE)is a new type of smart material with magneto-induced modulus change characteristics.This material combines the viscoelasticity of its polymer matrix and the ferromagnetism of the micronsized iron powder particles inside.The rapid,linear and reversible modulus change occurs under the intervention of an external magnetic field,which has broad application prospects in the development of variable stiffness devices.This paper takes MRE,a smart material,as the core component,designs an MRE actuator for rotor vibration suppression of rotating machinery,develops a prototype of the principle,and completes the performance verification of the prototype.The main work of the thesis is as follows:(1)The preparation process of the addition-molding liquid silicone rubberbased MRE was improved,the MRE preparation platform was built,and the silicone rubber-based pre-structured MRE sample with 70%iron powder mass fraction was prepared,laying the foundation for the subsequent actuator design.(2)A design method of MRE actuator for rotor vibration suppression is established.The principle of vibration suppression of MRE actuators is described,the work division plan of the internal workpieces of the actuator is proposed,and the materials and basic dimensions of the main workpieces are determined.The magnetic structure inside the MRE actuator is designed in detail,and the rationality of the structure is analyzed through the magnetic circuit design.The magnetic field analysis,coil heat transfer and heat dissipation analysis are used to design and select the core winding of the magnetic structure.And through finite element simulation to predict the generation of MRE working magnetic field.(3)Developed a set of MRE principle prototype.Completed the magnetic field generation experiment,the speed-up experiment of the rotor-MRE actuator system under constant voltage,and the experimental verification of rotor vibration suppression based on switch control.The performance of the actuator was verified and evaluated from three aspects:the generation of the MRE working magnetic field,the frequency shift effect brought by the actuator,and the damping effect based on switch control.
