The pursuit of Chinese traditional culture and art has been popular with modern fashion trends,and the study of Oriental art is a cultural content that modern designers are concerned about.How to better carry forward the ideological spirit of China’s excellent traditional culture and art,extract oriental art symbols,and apply it in modern clothing design has become a topic that needs deep thinking.This article is devoted to the research of Song Dynasty landscape painting,summarizes the artistic characteristics of Song Dynasty landscape painting,extracts the artistic elements of Song Dynasty landscape painting,and uses clothing as a carrier to better carry forward and inherit the art of Song Dynasty landscape painting.This article first analyzes the artistic connotation and aesthetic characteristics of landscape paintings in the Song Dynasty,and summarizes the artistic characteristics of the landscape paintings of the Song Dynasty in pursuit of nature,elegance and delicateness from the concept of composition,color extraction,spatial expression and technical expression.Secondly,through market research and case analysis,the influence and value of Song Dynasty landscape painting on modern clothing design were studied from the carrier of painting concept,pen-and-ink language,blank aesthetics and artistic conception.At the same time,the comparative method is used to study the application examples of the expression methods of the Song Dynasty landscape paintings in different costume designs in the East and West.To lay the foundation for this fashion design practice.Finally,on the basis of establishing theoretical research,combined with the summary and summary of practical application cases,innovatively applied in the concept and conception,color matching,pattern elements and style structure of this clothing design work,designed a series of clothing works.The thesis provides a new design perspective for modern clothing design and better promotes the inheritance and development of traditionalChinese painting art through the analysis of the artistic characteristics of Song Dynasty landscape painting and the study and refinement of practical clothing application cases.
