| Different demodulation schemes are presented and evaluated as to their applicability to the problem of the measurement of structural strains using, in particular, the fiber-optic Fabry-Perot interferometer. A prototype of a demodulation system for remote high-coherence fiber-optic interferometry is described in detail and evaluated. Suggestions are made for improvement of the circuitry and for its extension to a multiple sensor system. |
