| This study examined how Malaspina University-College can facilitate the successful academic and cultural transition of international students into their MBA Programs. Literature reviews on international students' academic and cultural transition, learning styles, relationship of Test of English as a Foreign Language and student success, and transitional programs were completed.; Results from the study indicate that international students who have adequate time to adjust to their new educational and cultural environments, prior to beginning their studies, reported better transition experiences. Project findings also show that international MBA and IMBA students need and want more support programs and services in order to transition more successfully. Requested services included: programs to learn and/or improve academic reading, writing and researching as well as career planning assistance. |
