Students with disabilities battle obstacles every day of their lives. This study will focus on the effects of communication and students with autism. The importance of this study is to gather the knowledge of whether or not the application Communicate With Me will be beneficial to use in the classroom for the students. Components used will be combined to address the communication needs of students with autism. The subjects will be students with autism. The study will also obtain students within the East Baton Rouge Parish School System between the ages of seven and twelve as well as information from surveys given to the teachers, students, and parents. The result of the study will be in the form of an application. The application will be available for use on IPhone Operating System 5 (IOS5) and android devices entitled Communicate With Me. Communicate With Me will show how the application is beneficial in a school environment to help students with autism communicate better.
