Analysis Of The Operational Benefits Of Grain Family Farms In Jilin Province

Family farm is an important organizational form and management carrier to realize agricultural modernization in China,and also one of the main ways to realize agricultural scale and modernization.Food plays an important role in the development of agriculture in our country,and food security has always been the focus of China’s agricultural development.Jilin Province is located in the "golden corn belt" and "golden rice belt" in the world and as a province in Northeast China,Its grain production has unique advantages.The planting area and yield of maize and rice are in the main position in Jilin province.With the continuous development of family farms in Jilin province,the status of grain family farms is becoming increasingly prominent.The research on the management efficiency and influence factors of the grain family farm in Jilin Province is of great practical significance for clarifying the future development direction and taking the lead in realizing the agricultural modernization.Based on the particularity of grain production in Jilin Province and the micro-data obtained from the survey,this paper selects grain family farms for growing corn and rice as the research object.The management benefit of grain family farms in Jilin Province is analyzed,and multiple regression model is used to study the influencing factors of the management benefit of grain family farmsThe following are the main conclusions of this paper:(1)The development trend of grain family farms in Jilin province is good,and the average yield of rice per mu is obviously higher than corn.Family farms with rice have the greatest advantage in the central region and family farms growing corn in the east are more profitable.Scaling up would raise the cost per acre of family farm land,regardless of subsidies.Five-hectare family farms have the highest net yield per acre.(2)Most of the acreage of grain family farms comes from shifting land.Operating costs mainly consist of land rents and the trend of sharecropping is obvious.The contract right and management right of the land are clear.We can solve the problem of the transfer of agricultural land and control the land rent within a reasonable range based on withdrawal of the contract right of the land,which is conducive to promoting the stability and income growth and the development of family farms.(3)The operation mode of increasing input to improve output cannot realize the continuous improvement of average net income per mu of grain family farms.But changing the scale of operations can increase the profitability of family farms in the food category.
