| In the mid-nineteenth century,the West launched the women’s liberation movement.Simone de Beauvoir is one of the representatives.Her book "The Second Sex" is known as the "Feminist Bible." In the early 20 th century,women ’ s liberation movement spread to China.After the development in more than a century,the concept of equality between men and women in society is now deeply rooted,although women are still dominated by men’s discourse.Unequal patterns of sexual relations are presented in a hidden manner in various media.As the most widely disseminated and most influential medium in modern society,television and TV drama’s construction of female characters not only embodies the current society’s gender consciousness,but also imperceptibly influences the concept of the audience.The popularity of the film and television dramas determines the depth of the impact.Therefore,this article selects the most popular female film and television drama “Ode to Joy” as the research text in recent years."Ode to Joy" depicts female images at different levels in the urban workplace.They use realism to minimize their survival.From the perspective of existential feminism,this article proceeds from the "situation" of women in the research text and discusses the second nature behind the construction of female images in "Ode to Joy." Combined with the audience analysis theory of Hall,This paper analyzes audiences’ different interpretations of roles in the plays and their underlying causes.It also discusses the limitations and breakthroughs in the construction of female images in Ode to Joy,and considers women’s outlets. |
