Thematic Creation In Xinjiang Art

Since the founding of new China in 20th century,due to the effect of the literary policyadvocacy of the Communist Party of China,including the literary purpose of"Serving the People" and the advocating of nowadays main theme with excellent literary and artistic works,drawing lessons from Soviet socialist realism art which shared the same ideology with China,and the studying of Russian traditional painting art,Chinese art inherited the socialist realism creation view,creations on major historical themes of revolution and constructionconcerning social reality themes occupy the mainstream.Under backgrounds mentioned above,despite the disadvantage of remote geological location,Xinjiang Art follows the pace of the times,keeps a highly consistencywith the mainstream ideology of the time,the art works of Xinjiang not only shows the unique regional features,but also reflect the strong characteristics of the times.A large number of the art works concerning historical and social reality themes emerged with remarkable achievement Judging from the level of art,Oil painting which inherited a large part of the Russian tradition,makes great leap of development and progress,some artists reached the pinnacle of their personal artistic career,but also the highest level of art in Xinjiang since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.Their art and ideology are representative throughout the whole country,which can be samples in the same period of Chinese art.This paper studies the case of art works of Xinjiang Uyghur painter Ghazi Ahmed,perspecting Xinjiang art theme creation features and academic value in Chinese art.This paper firstly run through the concept of creation on themes,the history of creation on themes in Xinjiang art,and the relationship between Ghazi Ahmeda and Xinjiang theme art;Then studies of four aspects of Ghazi Ahmed’s life and art origin,includingchildhood family education,growthenvironment having strong folk customs,rich experiences of learning and communication,and the legendary life experience and the good learning attitude.On this basis,the paper analysis two paintings created in different stages ofGhazi Ahmed’ life,which are representive and occupying important position inhistory of Chinese art.Then carries cross studies with other contemporary outstanding works and the works of Ghazi Ahmed which have identical themes but created in different life stages.Finally summarizes the artistic achievementsofGhazi Ahmed and his effectandinfluence on the development of Xinjiang art,reflects and summarizes the theme creations of Xinjiang art,prospects and evaluates the development prospect and value of Xinjiang art theme creation in the contemporary context of China.
