| With the growth of the population and expansion of the range of human activities, the use of resources and the speed of consumption had been on the rise, causing various ecological issues to emerge one after another. In order to coordinated the ecosystem and economic development to achieve the goal of sustainable development,it was particularly important to clarify the level of resource occupation in the region. Therefore, the ecological footprint method emerged as the times require.Subsequently,a three-dimensional ecological footprint method that could measure renewable resources and non-renewable resources separately had emerged. It was based on the theoretical basis of traditional ecological footprint. The three-dimensional ecological footprint method was the great significance for the evaluation of regional sustainable development. For Sichuan province, there were significant differences in development and the level of resource utilization.Measuring the occupation of regional resources could provide the basis for resource allocation and promoted regional sustainable development. In this dissertation, through the construction of per capita three-dimensional ecological footprint model to calculate the per capita footprint size, per capita footprint depth and per capita three-dimensional ecological footprint in 21 the cities of Sichuan province from 2000 to 2015,based on those research, using the main driving factors of the partial least squares method to study the per capita three-dimensional ecological of the cities, and the main conclusions were as follows:(1)Based on the sequence of time, per capita footprint size,Per capita footprint depth, per capita three-dimensional ecological footprint were unstable on the change of time. Most of them the performance was fluctuating,in general, the higher levels of economic development will show the greater footprint.(2)From the space pattern, firstly annual average of per capita footprint size spatial distribution was dispersed of the major types of land.Secondly, low level of annual average of per capita footprint depth spatial distribution centralization, mainly in Aba and Ganzi staggered distribution with lower level, medium level, high level and higher level.Thirdly, overall pattern of staggered distribution of per capita three-dimensional ecological footprint shows a distribution pattern of low in the northwest and high in the southeast, also a rising trend in the southeast.(3)From the study of the main drivers of regional development, the study area could be divided into five types: comprehensive factors driven, economic factor drive, policy factor driven, demographic driven and urban-level driven.Among them,10 states belonged to comprehensive factors driven, and 7 states belonged to economic factor driven, those two driving types accounted for 80.95% of the number of evaluation units, and they all showed relatively concentrated distribution characteristics in spatial distribution. |
