In recent years,power line communication(PLC)networks have achieved rapid development and wide applications in smart grid,Internet of Things,multimedia and other fields,which are mainly attributed to their low cost,easy deployment,safety and reliability.PLC networks take existing power lines as a media of data transmission.However,the further development of these networks is hindered by the problems existing in communication channels,such as signal attenuation,noise interference,and time variability.In order to improve the service quality of PLC networks,a host of researchers have carried out extensive practice with respect to each technology in the power line carrier communication protocol stack.Focused on the network layer technology,this thesis proposes efficient and reliable routing algorithms to improve the quality of service of the networks.The specific work is summarized blow.First of all,a comprehensive analysis of the development status of PLC technology and common routing algorithms at home and abroad is performed.It is followed by an elaboration of the physical and network characteristics of power line carrier communication,as well as the factors affecting its reliability,which lays a foundation for subsequent research.Afterward,combined with the structure of the link logic topology of the low-voltage PLC network,this paper proposes a method for selecting relay nodes of low-voltage power line carrier communication.Specifically,the controller selects the relay node based on the node's geographic location and link status.When certain link conditions are met,the node with a larger geographic span is preferentially chosen as the relay node,thereby effectively expanding the coverage of carrier communication.In addition,a routing algorithm for the low-voltage power line carrier communication network is also put forward.The controller uses a hierarchical layered method to choose the path based on the node's geographic location and link status.The simulation experiment results verify that the proposed routing algorithm is able to greatly improve network performance by choosing a reasonable path.Finally,in order to solve the problem of load imbalance in the upstream data collection application scenario,this paper,under the support of the previous algorithm,further develops a load balancing routing algorithm based on low-voltage power linecarrier communication.It adjusts the tree-like logical topology structures formed by the controller and the node,to select the appropriate path of the node to the controller.In this way,network congestion is alleviated.Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm can successfully improve network throughput and reduce packet loss rate and delay,eventually guaranteeing the reliability of network communication.
