High availability,as one of the key technologies for ensuring the continuous operation and service provision of data centers,can greatly enhance the reliability and stability of the system,which is an important research area for modern data centers.Currently most researches of high-availability focus on servers providing a single service or a specific enabling technology,but lacks high-availability research on servers that run multiple services at the same time.It is difficult for such simple design to meet the business requirements of a single server running multiple services.Based on research and analysis of existing high-availability technologies,a high-availability solution was proposed and implemented in this paper,which can offer multiple services to meet the needs of monitoring and configuring server(MCS)in the CSCloud cloud storage system.This solution provided high-availabillity design for both integrated resource layer and data source layer repectively considering MCS business division,high-availability design principles,and system scalability.The integrated resource layer included storage resources,monitoring resources,and web resources.With the adoption of dual-system hot standby mode along with enabling technologies such as virtual IP,multiple service resources were integrated into a high-availability environment to provide users with continuous service of fault detection,automatic migration and failure recovery.In data resource layer of high-availability design,data replication was adopted to ensure data synchronization,and monitoring technology was used to build high availability architecture for database,achieving load balancing of read requests and real-time monitoring,automatic migration and failure recovery for the database.On the premise of completing the high-availability architecture,this paper also added monitoring and alarming to the web resources and system load conditions on the MCS in conjunction with the monitoring system carried by the MCS,double guaranteeing high availability of the MCS.The high-availability research scheme proposed in this paper has been applied to theMCS,and tested and analyzed in simulated scenarios that may occur in the actual operating environment,including faults,resource migration.Test results show that this solution has achieved the desired results.It can not only be applied to MCS,but also provides a new idea and method for other similar application scenarios.
