With the rapid development of computer technology,CAD has become the core technology in modern manufacturing industry.It has completely changed the way of machine design,improved the quality of machine design,shortened the design cycle and reduced cost of products.Parametric technology is proposed to solve the difficulties of CAD in practical application,and it is mainly used in the history-based 3D feature modeling system.In view of the outstanding advantages of the history-based 3D feature modeling system,it has quickly become one of the important modeling systems.The most important problems in the history-based 3D feature modeling system are the problem of naming and identifying topological entities and the problem of geometric constraint solving.These two problems are the key problems that must be dealt with in the modeling system.However,modeling system still has no perfect solution in terms of naming and identifying topological entities and geometric constraint solving,which has seriously hindered the development of the modeling system.In this paper,a method of naming and identifying topological faces based on local history is proposed.This method makes full use of local history recorded the information on the changing of topological faces in modeling.At the same time,the bat algorithm is used to solve the geometric constraint problem in the modeling system.So,the efficiency of the modeling system is improved.The main contents of this paper are shown as follows:Firstly,the research in naming and identifying topological entities and geometric constraint solving at home and abroad is introduced,and the role of naming and identifying topological entities in current modeling system is analyzed.The methods and characteristics in geometric constraint solving are discussed,and the difficulties that may be met in naming and identifying topological entities and geometric constraints solving are also given.Secondly,a new method of naming and identifying topological entities based on faces is proposed,which only uses the local history.So,it improves the efficiency of faces' retrieval and identification.At the same time,the solution of geometric constraint solving based on bat algorithm is studied.The shortcomings of bat algorithm are given,and some strategies are proposed to overcome these shortcomings.Finally,the experiment proves the correctness and efficiency of the method of naming and identifying topological faces based on local history.At the same time,it is proved that bat algorithm is an effective method to solve the problem of geometric constraint.
