With the transformation and upgrading of China's tourism industry and the vigorous development of vocational education,secondary vocational tourism education is facing a new reform.Because the experiential teaching mode meets the needs of the education reform,and reflects the education for all-around development,and improves teaching quality and students' ability,this mode has attracted much attention in recent years.Introducing this teaching mode into the vocational education of secondary vocational tourism not only adapts to the new requirements of the development of the tourism industry,but also solves some problems in the existing teaching mode and provides new ideas for the cultivation of tourism talents in China.Viewing the current research situation of tourism teaching reform in secondary vocational education in our country,research on the application of experiential teaching mode is poor.In teaching practice,teachers' experiential teaching design ability still needs to be improved.The “Tour Guiding”course is a professional course for tourism management majorin secondary vocational schools.It is also a compulsory subject for the tour guide certificate examination.So this thesis took the “Tour Guiding” course as the object,and used the text analysis method,questionnaire survey method and in-depth interview method to carry out the research.After explaining relevant learning theories and analyzing the current teaching situation of the “Tour Guiding” course in secondary vocational schools,this thesis researched the necessity of applying the experiential teaching mode in the course.Then a comprehensive analysis of teaching design,teaching practice,and teaching implementation effects was carried out.Finally,based on the evaluation of teaching implementation effects,suggestions for improving the application were put forward.The thesis draws the following conclusions:(1)It is necessary and feasible to apply experiential teaching design and teaching reform in the course of “Tour Guiding” in secondary vocational tourism;(2)The experiential instructional design of “Tour Guiding” course can be carried out along the path of “instructional analysis——experiential teaching process and element design — — teachingimplementation — — teaching reflection ”;(3)Both the evaluation of teaching implementation effects and the comparative analysis of performance reflect that the experiential teaching design has a significant impact on the learning effect and learning quality;(4)The experiential teaching mode has difficulties in classroom control in the application;and teacher-student's communication is limited;and students' participation is low;and teaching resources are insufficient.(5)The “Tour Guiding” course under experiential teaching mode can be improved from improving teaching organization management;strengthening teacher-student mutual adaptation;improving required teaching resources.
