Research On Embedded Student Community Management Strategies In Xinjiang Universities Under The Concept Of Social Work

In 2014,at the second Central Xinjiang Work Symposium,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to strengthen and innovate the work of national unity,promote the establishment of social structure and community environment embedded among all ethnic groups,and promote exchanges and exchanges among all ethnic groups.In November of the same year,the Education Department of Xinjiang province issued a notice on the practice of the minority and Han students in the mixed dorms in Xingjiang universities.Since 2015,the embedded community of minority and Han students in the mixed dorms has officially entered universities in Xinjiang.Embedded student community provides a platform and environment for the communication between students of different ethnic groups.In order to build a harmonious student community environment and provide better services for students of all ethnic groups,how to improve the level of embedded student community management has been coming into research perspective.This paper mainly adopts qualitative research methods such as questionnaire method and unstructured interview method,taking embedded student community of Xinjiang H University as the research object,investigating the satisfaction degree of students of Xinjiang H University in hardware facilities,community management,cultural construction and student participation,and sums up several questions raised by students of Xinjiang H University to embedded student community of Xinjiang H University,including: failure to meet students’ needs,lack of communication among different ethnic group students,problems with the management methods,neglect of students’ willingness in community participation,and poor sense of community belonging with embedded student community.From the perspective of student community management,this paper argues that these problems are mainly due to the single function of student community,the diversity among different ethnic group students,the lack of professionalism of managers,the restriction of student participation in community management mode,and the insufficient construction of community cultural atmosphere.The professional concept of social work emphasizes self-help and help others.This paper uses the value concept of "people-oriented,respect for differences","responding to needs,caring and inclusive","focusing on participation,promoting development" to innovate the embedded student community management concept in Xinjiang universities.The strategies of embedded student community management in Colleges and universities are explored from five aspects: defining management objectives,improving the professional level of management,improving management mechanism,optimizing management system and strengthening the construction of community culture.
