| In the information age that knowledge updates quickly,it is more important to teach students to learn than to teach students knowledge.Student-centered inquiry-based teaching can fully mobilize students’ enthusiasm for learning,which is conducive to students’ mastery of knowledge,improvement of comprehensive ability,and cultivation of core literacy.This paper systematically investigates the educational research literature on related chemistry extracurricular activities and chemical science inquiry activities,sorts out the concepts of scientific inquiry and extracurricular activities,and defines the concept of chemistry extracurricular inquiry activities.A chemistry extracurricular inquiry activity project based on constructivism,inquiry learning,and Dewey’s pragmatic education.The project design includes activity theme,knowledge content,participants,activity goals,teaching facilities and conditions,design principles,and evaluation of teaching effects.Questionnaire surveys were conducted on teachers and students,and the results were analyzed.It is understood that the current rate of chemistry chemistry research activities is low,mainly due to the lack of understanding of the importance of the chemistry and the existing education evaluation system.Looking at the high-level exam questions in recent years,we no longer simply look at the knowledge points,but focus more on the students’ ability to explore and solve problems.The new curriculum standard also pointed out that the principle of proposition should be based on core literacy [1].This study designed three extra-curricular scientific and technological activities with increasing difficulty levels.The first project is an extracurricular science and technology activity with the theme of "rescue action",which integrates the knowledge of healthy diet,redox reaction,ion reaction,solution configuration and analysis,elemental compound properties of chlorine and sodium,experimental design and titration operation into seven links.The research results show that the project can effectively integrate the knowledge inside and outside high school chemistry class,help students to learn systematically,consolidate and apply knowledge,improve test scores,improve discipline core literacy,and stimulate students’ learning interest and cultivate comprehensive ability.Project 2 "Investigate the Conjugation Effect Based on STEM Concept" is designed for students with strong learning ability,cultivate students’ ability of information and intelligence research,analyze and summarize,expand students’ scientific vision,and establish teamwork,self-confidence,language expression Ability building,interest inspiring,and competition are combined into the project.Project 3 “Exploring the Solubility of Aluminium Hydroxide in Ammonia Water” is designed for students with scientific research potential,cultivating students’ scientific exploration spirit of unknown or suspicious objects,theoretical knowledge of ionization balance,sedimentation and dissolution balance,and influence on aluminum hydroxide.Complex problems such as preparation,properties and many factors of crystal phase transformation are combined into the project,and students are guided to use existing knowledge,using data research,experimental exploration,theoretical derivation and other methods to explore unknown aluminum hydroxide properties and crystal forms. |
