| Methodology:by quantitative research method,publish questionnaire on internet platform and social network.The content of the questionnaire includes Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),informants’ personal background and their attitudes towards homosexual behaviour,to investigate the male homosexuals at a national scale.The statistic analysis involved within this research include descriptive statistics,Pearson’s correlation coefficient,linear regression,mediation relation analysis and others.Results: 1.The anxiety,depression and perceived social support of the male homosexual within this research are significantly different compared to general population.The anxiety level and depression level are higher than general population,and the family support are the weakest among all 3 dimensions of the perceived social support.2.The anxiety of the Gay males has positive correlation with their depression.As the antecedent variable of depression,anxiety would have predictive effects on depression.3.The anxiety of the male homosexual has intermediation between the perceived social supports and depression.Family support and social support within the perceived social support are both indirect acting factors to depression through the intermediating factor anxiety.Family support has negative correlation with anxiety,and indirect negative correlation with depression.Social support has positive with anxiety,and indirect positive correlation with depression.Friend support is uncorrelated to neither anxiety nor depression.4.Gay males’ personal backgrounds are significantly different,so as the anxiety,depression and perceived social support.The anxiety levels are remarkably different according to informants’ variation in age,education,monthly income,single child or not and family structure.Depression are significantly different by the ages and education of informants.5.Gay males’ attitudes towards homosexual behaviour are differentiated,so as their anxiety,depression and perceived social support.The anxiety levels are affected by multiple factors,include the sexual orientation publicity to their social networks and parents,personal evaluation of their own sexual orientation,public discussion about own homosexual topic,and the ages of homosexual enlightenment.Depression level is significantly affected by ages,education and self-evaluation towards own sexual orientation.Perceived social support is affected by publicity to parents,self-evaluation of sexual orientation,publicly discussion of own sexual preference and ages of homosexual enlightenment. |
