Research On The Influencing Factors Of College Students’ We Chat Political Participation

The rapid development of the Internet,especially the rapid development of Internet social media,has had a tremendous impact on the political participation of citizens.Among these Internet social media,WeChat is gradually becoming the main front for political participation of Chinese citizens because of its explosive growth in user volume and coverage network communication mode.Young college students as the main group of these Internet social media services,so college students’ WeChat political participation has become a problem worth studying.This paper selects undergraduate students from four universities in Jiangxi Province as the research object,and conducts quantitative research on the main influencing factors of college students’ WeChat political participation through questionnaire survey.Through research and analysis,it is found that there is a general situation of low participation enthusiasm,low participation efficacy,complicated participation motivation and less WeChat political participation behavior.In terms of influencing factors,personal background,WeChat usage,and participation awareness are closely related to college students’ WeChat political participation.In particular,the gender of college students,the duration of using WeChat every day,the motivation to participate,the attitude of participation,and the sense of participation effectiveness have a significant impact on the political participation of college students.In response to the above-mentioned situation,the next step is to take multiple measures to balance the gender ratio of WeChat political participants.We must improve laws and regulations and safeguard the participation rights of college students.It is necessary to strengthen the shaping of the subject and enhance the political quality of college students.At the same time,we must unblock channels and optimize WeChat multi-platform linkage.Guide college students to engage in organized WeChat political participation and promote the process of democratization in China.
