How can an ethnic group that has never been exposed to modern media stand up with the help of media, and how can the media reconstruct the cultural memory and ethnic identity of the ethnic group? This study based on the theories of cultural memory and ethnic identity, and uses non-participatory observation and in-depth interview,in order to explore how the cultural memory and ethnic identity of the Lopliks are and how they are reconstructed by media in the contemporary era. This study found that the process of media reconstruction of the Lopliks’ s cultural memory and ethnic identity mainly includes three stages: the writing of memory, the imaging of memory, and the spatialization of memory. This is a process of oral media developing to written media, and written media developing to image and space media. This reconstruction practice presents the characteristics of "other" domination. In addition, different media carriers play different functions in the process of reconstructing memory. At the same time, the media also reconstructs the ethnic identity of the the Lopliks by reconstructing ethnic boundaries.
