Objective:High school is an important transition period during which individual interpersonal relationship comes to grow mature,and it is also a period which their interpersonal relationship can be easily obsessed.The quality of interpersonal relationship in this stage will exert great influence on the future development of individuals.On the basis of knowing the status quo of the neglected experience in childhood,alexithymia,selfesteem and interpersonal relationship,this study further examined whether there are multiple mediating effects of alexithymia and selfesteem between the neglected experience in childhood and interpersonal relationship,so as to promote and maintain the development of interpersonal relationship of senior high school students for families and schools.To better provide scientific basis for their psychosocial development.Methods:Using the ChildNeglectScale,TAS20,SES and InterpersonalRelationship ComprehensiveDiagnosisScale investigated 773 high school students from Haikou City,Hainan Province and Wuhan City,Hubei Province.Spss21.0 and amos24.0 were used to analyze the survey data,including the differences of each variable in several demographic variables,correlation analysis,regression analysis and intermediary effect analysis.Results:(1)In the aspect of being neglected in childhood,the score of high school students which their father were less educated was significantly higher than the students which their father were highly educated(F=2.86,p<0.05);the score of high school students from reorganization family and single parent family was significantly higher than that of high school students with complete family(F=10.52,p<0.001),The lower the monthly family income of high school students,the higher the neglect score in child hood(F=4.65,p<0.05).(2)In the aspect of alexithymia,the scores of urban high school students were significantly lower than that of rural high school students(t=2.30,p<0.05);the scores of high school students which their father were highly educated were significantly lower than that of high school students which their father were less educated(t=3.92,p<0.01);the higher the monthly family income of high school students,the lower their scores of alexithymia(F=10.10,p<0.001).(3)In the aspect of selfesteem,the selfesteem level of urban high school students is significantly higher than that of rural high school students(t=2.22,p<0.05);the selfesteem level of the students from complete family is significantly higher than the students from reorganization family and single parent family(F=4.49,p<0.01);the higher the monthly family income is,the higher the selfesteem level is(F=12.88,p<0.001).(4)In the aspect of high school students’ interpersonal relationship,the score of the students which their father were less educated is significantly higher than the students which their father were highly educated(F=2.63,p<0.05);the score of the students from reorganization family and single parent family is significantly higher than the students from complete family(F=5.89,p<0.01);the lower monthly family income,the higher interpersonal relationship score is(F=3.63,p<0.05).(5)The correlation analysis showed that there were significant correlations between childhood neglected experience,alexithymia,selfesteem and interpersonal relationship of senior high school students;there were significant positive correlations between childhood neglect and alexithymia and interpersonal relationship of senior high school students(r=0.38,p<0.01;r=0.42,p<0.01);there was a significant negative correlation between selfesteem and childhood neglect,alexithymia,interpersonal relationship of senior high school students(r=0.39,p<0.01;r=0.53,p<0.01;r=0.53,p<0.01);(6)Regression analysis showed that childhood neglected experience,alexithymia,selfesteem had a significant predictive effect on interpersonal relationship of senior high school students(t=12.67,p<0.001;t=19.61,p<0.001;t=17.21,p<0.001);childhood neglected experience had significa nt predictive effect on alexithymia(t=11.30,p<0.001)and selfesteem(t=11.71,p<0.001);alexithymia had significant predictive effect on selfesteem(t=17.31,p<0.001).(7)The mediating effect analysis found that:Alexithymia played a part of mediating role between the neglected experience in childhood and the interpersonal relationship of senior high school students;selfesteem played a part of mediating role between the neglected experience in childhood and the interpersonal relationship of senior high school students;alexithymia and selfesteem played a chain mediating role between the neglected experience in childhood and the interpersonal relationship of senior high school students.Conclusion:alexithymia and selfesteem have multiple mediating effects between childhood neglected experience and interpersonal relationship.Therefore,the psychological counseling about interpersonal relationship for high school students needs to consider three factors and their interaction: the neglected experience in childhood,the ability of emotional communication and the way of selfevaluation.
