English occupies a very important position in primary and secondary education and teaching.While reading teaching is a very significant part in English teaching.It was said that"the world of readers".It is not unreasonable to study it carefully.From2017,the examination changes.The requirements for reading ability have become more and more severe.Therefore,it is highlighted that the importance of reading teaching.This study is to study the application of objective-based teaching method in English reading teaching in junior high school.The objective-based teaching method was put forward by Bloom and others in the mid-20thcentury.Teaching objectives was divide into two dimensions:knowledge dimension and cognition dimension.In knowledge dimension,knowledge can be divided into four categories:factual knowledge,conceptual knowledge,procedural knowledge and meta-cognitive knowledge.In dimension of cognitive process,cognitive process is divided into:1.Remember;2.Understand;3.Apply;4.Analyze;5.Evaluate;6.Create.The cognitive process is deepen by these five levels.The combination of knowledge and cognitive process can promote the internalization of knowledge and improve students’interest in learning.Before the study,the author takes class 11 Grade 7 and class 12 Grade 7 in the junior middle school of Fuxian as the research object.And class 12 as the experimental class and class 11 as the contrast class.The author has carried out two questionnaires.The first questionnaire was collected at the beginning of the term.and the second questionnaire was collected in the end of the term.The author analysis the two questionnaires respectively.Then compare the two questionnaires.The first compare is about the first questionnaire between the two class.The second compare is the results of the last questionnaire.And then,compare the first and the last.It is concluded that the application of the objective-based teaching method in junior middle school reading teaching can improve students’reading interesting effectively and cultivate their good habits of reading.The reading scores of the first examination of the school and the final examination were selected to compare and analysis.The results show that the application of objective teaching method in junior middle school English reading teaching can improve students’English goals effectively.In reading class,the objective-based teaching method is applied by class 12 and the routine teaching method is applied by class 11.In class 12,the teacher divide the knowledge into the four categories.And match the knowledge with the different cognitive process.This makes the students know what they will learn and how to learn.In the teaching process,students should learn by themselves first,then students who get the knowledge teach the others in the same group.And finally,they take a test in class.The students are the main role in class.They know what they will learn and how to learn.this method can improve the students’participation and their examination score of English.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)the objective-based teaching method can improve the junior middle school students’interest in English reading effectively.(2)the objective-based teaching method can help students form good reading habits.(3)The application of the objective-based teaching method in reading teaching can effectively improve junior middle school students’English scores.
