The rationality of the curriculum for Chinese volunteer teachers pre-job training in Confucius Institute affects or decides the teacher’s enthusiasm,learning efficiency,learning effect and training quality.The result of training effect even directly related to the good development of overseas Chinese promotion,so the pre-job training curriculum is especially important.The course arrangement,curriculum content and teaching method of Beijing normal University training base have their remarkable characteristics.On the basis of detailed analysis of these characteristics,the volunteers’ professional background,experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,their favorite courses and the courses that need to be improved,the degree of improvement of the relevant skills from the pre-job training volunteers are examined by means of questionnaires and online interviews.This paper analyzes the adaptation of Chinese teacher volunteers to the pre-job training curriculum and their views on the pre-job training curriculum through several aspects.Combined with the data analysis results of the questionnaire and feedback from online interviews,the curriculum setup of pre-job training in base shows many advantages,such as a variety of curriculum contents in Chinese cultural communication ability;these is double-track system for the practice course of teaching,satisfying the actual needs of visiting countries;strong pertinence of language courses in foreign countries,adapting to the language environment of visiting countries and so on.At the same time,there are some problems such as strong theoretical content,weak pertinence,low practicability,too compact time on arrangement and so on.In view of the existing problems,the base should improve the curriculum from the aspects of curriculum content,class time arrangement and so on.The curriculum setup of pre-job training should grasp the actual needs of volunteers,improve the practicability of curriculum content and focus on the optimization of key courses;the curriculum arrangement should be based on the actual situation,improve the pertinence of curriculum content;Weaken the theoretical curriculum,strengthen interaction and practice;ensure adequate rest time for volunteers,balance the amount of lessons in the early and late training period and so on.It is hoped that these suggestions will help Hanban from the top design level to optimize and adjust the training syllabus for International Chinese Teachers in China and help training base from the bottom implementation point of view to carry on the reasonable arrangement to the volunteer pre-job training course.These existing problems will be solved effectively.
