Research On The Strategy Of Image Language Expression In Documentary Films

On the basis of the principle of documentary authenticity,artistic creation of works by using image language and rhetoric reasonably has become the norm of documentary creation at this stage.As a symbol system of film and television,image language aims to convey information and express emotion.The lens focuses on the real characters and scenes,and shows the life state of the characters by means of images.Any documentary should use angle,scenery,composition to express the subjective emotional expression behind the film.Starting with the creation of real documentaries,this paper takes the strategy of image language and rhetoric as the theoretical support,and takes the graduation work "Nine Primary Schools" as an example to study the documentaries from the aspects of social problems,image language structure and image language expression strategy.Through the real record of the left-behind children as a special group and the image as a carrier,the real state of their life and learning can be visually displayed to the public.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first part is introduction,which introduces the background of documentary film shooting and summarizes and analyses the present situation of documentary film on Left-behind children.The second part is about the structure of image language in documentary film,which is elaborated comprehensively from four parts: image language,lens language,angle and editing.The third part is about the expression strategy of image language.It includes the narrative function,aesthetic function and rhetorical devices of image language.
