The three schools of Shi of Lu,Qi,and Han are the important part of the study of Shi in the Han dynasty.Since the Wei and Jin dynasties, due to the dual effects of the external environment and the internal development rules of Confucian classics, the three schools of Shi have died early.Only Han Ying’s Collection of Shi exists today.Since the Song dynasty, scholars began to collect and sort out the three schools of Shi.By the middle of the Qing dynasty,Wei Yuan had made a comprehensive summary of the major problems in the study of Shi on the basis of the studies of scholars in previous generations, and put forward his own new ideas, which had a profound impact on the scholars of the three schools of Shi in the late Qing dynasty. In the past, the study of Wei Yuan’s three schools of Shi paid more attention to its era significance, and the explanation of the content of Wei Yuan’s theory was insufficient. This paper has absorbed the previous research results and adopted the methods of mutual evidence between literature and history, literature review and comparison to study the three schools of Shi of Wei Yuan.It can be mainly divided into the following three parts:The first part discusses the life and academic of Wei Yuan.First of all,a brief introduction of his life and important works.Secondly, the study of his “application of classics to the world”,“integration of ancient and modern”,“Han and Song” and the position of Confucian classics. The second part, deeply studies Wei Yuan’s three schools of Shi theory. This paper probes into the uniqueness of Wei Yuan’s three schools of Shi by comparing them with the previous three schools of Shi.Generally speaking,it mainly includes the following five aspects: on the Shi and music of Shi;On the prologue of Shi;On the "four beginnings" of Shi;On the world and text of Shi;On the excellence of the three schools of Shi.The third part summarizes the achievement and influence of Wei Yuan’s three schools of poetics.Former, main expression is academic value and thought value two respects. The academic value mainly refers to Wei Yuan’s "ancient poems and micro poems",which are the works of the three schools of "Shi" studies that "began to form a system".At the same time,Wei Yuan’s three schools of "Shi" studies are also an important part of the study of modern literature and classics in the Qing dynasty.Thethought value is embodied in Wei Yuan’s three schools of poetics, which is a bold attempt of the Qing school to reform the ancient teachers. The latter mainly includes two aspects: the absorption and revision of his theory by scholars of the late Qing dynasty and the criticism of his theory by scholars of the late Qing dynasty. In a word,Wei Yuan’s study of the three schools of Shi is the focus of the study of the three schools of Shi in the Qing dynasty. In the history of the study of the three poems,it is not only of summative significance, but also of groundbreaking value.
