A Study On The Construction Of "Xiao X Yixia" And Related Problems

"Xiao X Yixia" is a common pattern in daily oral communication.Based on the construction grammar theory and three plane theory,this paper studies "Xiao X Yixia",summarizes its characteristics in syntax,semantics and pragmatics,studying its subjectivity and generating mechanism."Xiao X Yixia" is a subjective construction,which can express a subtractive meaning.It is based on " X Yixia",the internal mechanism of language is analogy,while the external structure of language is the pull of similar structures.The full text is divided into five parts:The first chapter is introduction,which defines the object of this study,gives a brief introduction to its research status at home and abroad,and gives a brief description of the content、the theoretical methods and the source of the corpus.The second chapter identifies the construction of "Xiao X Yixia",and finds that "X" entering the construction generally has the grammatical characteristics of[+measurable].Syntactically,the construction "Xiao X Yixia" can be used in single and complex sentences,as subject,predicate,object and verb and independent clause.In terms of semantics,"Xiao X Yixia" mainly means that the speaker intentionally lightens the quantity expressed by "X",which can mean a cute and witty feeling.The three chapter studies the subjectivity of the construction "Xiao X Yixia",and points out that it is a construction with strong subjectivity,which represents a double subtractive meaning.The subjectivity of the construction is closely related to the component "Xiao" and "Yixia".The fourth chapter uses structuralist analysis method to analyze the construction of "Xiao X Yixia",and illustrates that it is an inner complementary structure and an outer middle structure from the aspects of synchronic distribution and diachronic development."Xiao X Yixia" is produced on the basis of "X Yixia",and the analogy mechanism plays an important role in the process of production and development.The last chapter summarizes the full text and points out the shortcomings.
