Baoding file of the asylum hidden in the archives of Baoding,October 2016 by Hebei University Professor Liang Songtao editing and publishing.The File of the Asylum records the development of Baoding philanthropy during 1879-1948.Through the study of The File of the Asylum,I have a systematic understanding of the development of medical philanthropy in Baoding.From the development background of Baoding Medical Philanthropy,social changes,the development of medical charity thoughts,and the charity legal system have influenced the development process in varying degrees.From the development of Baoding Medical Charities,Baoding medical charity had been integrated many times in Late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.During the period from the Foundling Hospital,the Puji Hospital,Pujishi Hospital to the Hebei Provincial No.2Acupuncture Rehabilitation Hospital,Puji Hospital,and Xinmin Hospital,Hebei Provincial Hospital,Baoding Medical Charity Organization with the social changes continue to adjust.From the perspective of the characteristics,problems,and impacts,with the development of Baoding medical charities,the introduction of western medicine and the cultivation of new medical talents promoted the widening of medical resources and the modernization of medical concepts in the special social context of the late Qing and Republic of China.The development of medical philanthropy in Baoding continues to advance in twists and turns;due to the paradox of traditional medical philanthropy and the political turmoil in regime change,there are still many problems in the development of Baoding medical philanthropy;and the development of medical philanthropy is closely linked with social changes.Social changes have prompted medical philanthropy to make adjustments,and medical philanthropy has helped to ease the conflicts arising from social changes.In short,the publication of The File of the Asylum provided precious historical materials for the development of medical philanthropy during the period of Baoding and the Republic of China during the period of the Republic of China,and described the picture of Baoding’s medical philanthropy in the late Qing and the People’s Republic of China with its systematic and complete account.
