In recent years,China’s economy has been transformed from a high-speed development to high-quality development and has achieved a series of remarkable fruits which the public can enjoy and share.At the same time,there exist some unbalanced and insufficient development problems,even some issues left from the history during the reform,such as the social and economic development gap between the costal areas and the inland areas,the obvious differences in infrastructure between urban and rural areas,and the dislocation of excellent traditional culture and regional culture.Most of China’s population live in the countryside.The great dream of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects cannot come true without the joint efforts of Chinese farmers.The central government has formulated such policies as integrating the urban and rural development,constructing new socialist countryside and beautiful countryside.These policies are the blueprints for the Chinese nation’s long-term prosperity and development.Rural civilization is the origin of Chinese civilization in that the village is the carrier of rural civilization and the culture of farming and reading is the soft power of the Chinese nation.Therefore,it is crucial to preserve the rural natural ecological features,to inherit the excellent regional history and culture,and to protect the sustainable development of our rural civilization.During the upsurge of constructing the beautiful countryside nationwide,great changes have taken place in villages:the ruined courtyard is being renovated,the polluted water is getting clearer,the green trees are growing on the bare mountains,and the enterprises causing pollution hidden in the villages have been closed down one after another.It is green mountains and clear waters that can make the farmers happy and satisfied.Since the reform and opening up,farmers’living conditions have been continuously improved,and the outlook of villages has also undergone earth-shaking enhancement.Protecting ecological environment and inheriting regional culture have drawn more and more concern from all walks of life.All these are ascribed to the high stress and persistent efforts of the central and local governments on issues concerning agriculture,countryside and farmers as well as constructing new socialist countryside and beautiful countryside.Comrade Xi Jinping’s scientific comment on the relationship between the "Two Mountains" is deeply rooted in people’s mind,which emphasizes that the construction of the new countryside must conform to the reality of the countryside,not on the superficial level,but truly let the villages radiate vitality from the inside out.We should pay attention to the construction of ecological civilization,keep the green water and green mountains,and build the new countryside more beautiful.The great man Lenin once said,"Forgetting history means betraying." Every village has its own history,so passing down its history and culture can not only make our beautiful rural construction rich in soul,but also allow farmers to obtain the material benefits of economic development as well as a sense of spiritual enrichment.In this sense,farmers can enjoy a real sense of honor and belonging.Walter Gropius,a German educator,said,"Design is the unity of meeting material and spiritual needs." In constructing beautiful villages in China,village history museums have been put into construction in many places.It is of special significance to analyze and study the display design of the village history museum,for village history museums can show the history and culture of the village more vividly,provide a new carrier for inheriting the historical context of the village,and promote the long-term prosperity of the village civilization.In order to explore the essence of the display design of village history museum from the perspective of environmental art design,the author has made a thorough analysis and study on the display design of Huangpai Village History Museum in Chahe Town,Lai’an County,Anhui Province.This research will provide a useful reference for studying design creation and protecting the village history and culture.
