Objective: To explore the short-term efficacy of congenital clubfoot with mini-invasive multiplanar soft tissue release. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 32 patients(45 feet)with congenital clubfoot who underwent mini-invasive multiplanar soft tissue release from July 2014 to June 2017 in our hospital. We collected Dimeglio score and radiographic angles which was completed before treatment and at the last follow-up.Compared the efficacy before and after treatment.Correlation analysis evaluated the relationship between Dimeglio score and angles. Results: The mean follow-up time was(12.6±4.8)months(range from 6.2 to 24.9 months). The median Dimeglio score at the last follow-up was 2.0(1,3),which was significantly better than before treatment(P=0.000).Only the anteroposterior talus-first metatarsal angle showed statistically significant correlation with Dimeglio score(r=0.346,P=0.020).Conclusion: There were less surgical injury, unobvious postoperative scar, ankle joint function and flexibility was good, and short-term follow-up effect was satisfactory with early mini-invasive multiplanar soft tissue release for congenital clubfoot.
