Distinct Roles Of Xtract 6930 In The Production Performance And Intestinal Microorganism Of Piglets

The purpose of this research was to study the effects of plant extracts on the growth performance and intestinal flora balance of weaned piglets and provide some advice for actual production.A total of 120 weaned piglets’ age at 35 days and mean body weight10.0 ± 1 kg.Whole weaned piglets include male and female in half and castrated pigs were distributed into 4 groups,each group containing 6 replicates and 5 piglets per replicate.This research main point is that compared with the effects of adding plant extracts and antibiotics in feed on the performance of weanling piglets,pH of gastrointestinal tract,intestinal microflora and so on.In the trial period,the control group was fed only basal diet.The first group was fed with 100 g / T of antibiotics in the basal diet.The second group was fed with 100 g / T of antibiotics plus 200 g / T Xtract 6930.In 3th group,200 g / T Xtract6930 was added to the basal diet.Every two weeks to record weight and feed intake,and average daily gain and feed conversion ratio are calculated.After the end of the trial period,the diarrhea rate and diarrhea index were calculated.After the end of the experiment,whole pigs were slaughtered,and the pH of the stomach,duodenum,jejunum,ileum and colon was measured;the activity of pepsin and trypsin in the stomach and duodenum was measured;detection of villus height and crypt Depth;the number of ileum Escherichia coli,Salmonella,Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria were counted,determination of the number of Clostridium in the colon.The main result is as follows:1.The daily gain of the three experimental groups was significantly higher than that of the control group(P <0.05).The total daily feed intake of Xtract 6930 alone was significantly higher than that of the other two test groups(P <0.05).The feed-to-meat ratio of all the experimental groups was not significantly different(P> 0.05).2.The diarrhea rate of three experimental groups was lower than that of the control group,but the difference was not significant(P> 005).Diarrhea index,test group 2 and group 3 were significantly lower than the control group and test group 1(P <0.05).3.The results of this experiment showed that the addition of Xtract 6930 can significantly reduce the stomach pH(P <0.05),but had no significant effect on intestinal pH(P> 0.05).4.The pepsin and trypsin activities in experimental group 1,experimental group 2 and experimental group 3 were significantly higher than those in control group(P <0.01),and the trypsin activity in experimental group 2 was significantly higher than those in experimental group 1 and experimental group 3(P <0.05).5.The control group had the lowest chorionic villus height,which was significantly lower than the other groups(P <0.01).There was no significant difference in the depth of crypt between the four groups(P> 0.05).6.Adding Xtract 6930 and antibiotics cansignificantly reduce the number of ileum Escherichia coli(P <0.05),no significant effect on colon Bacillus.Treatment with 200 g /T Xtract 6930 alone had the highest Lactobacillus and was significantly higher than that of the other treatments(P <0.01),indicating that Xtract 6930 could promote the growth of Lactobacillus in the beneficial bacteria of ileum.The number of Bifidobacteria in the ileum was the lowest in group 100 g / T with 100 g / T of antibiotics alone,which was significantly lower than those in other groups(P<0.01).Based on the above results,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Adding 100 g / T of antibiotics,100 g / T of antibiotics plus 200 g / T of Xtract 6930 energy or adding 200g/T of Xtract 6930 to the basic diet,which could increase daily feed intake or daily gain of weaned piglets.The diarrhea index with the Xtract 6930 addition treatment group(Group 2 and Group 3)was significantly reduced.Taken together,based on each production performance index,our research indicated that 200 g / T Xtract 6930 play role in weaned piglets’ growth performance.(2)Adding Xtract 6930 can significantly reduce the pH of the stomach of piglets or activate pepsin.However,adding antibiotics or Xtract 6930 alone can significantly increase the villus height of the small intestine.When combination antibiotics with Xtract6930 that could not increase intestinal villus height and crypt depth of weaned piglets.(3)Both adding antibiotics and Xtract 6930 can reduce the number of harmful bacteria in the intestine.Adding antibiotics alone in the diet that inhibiting beneficial bacteria.In this experiment,the intestinal flora of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium of group 1 was significantly lower than that of the experimental group 3(Xtract 6930200g/T).
