As the city's highest-grade road, the urban expressway provides long-distance,large-capacity,and high-speed travel services for urban transportation. The weaving area is an important entry point for a relatively closed expressway system.Due to the agitation and complexity of its traffic flow, the capacity is often lower than the basic section, which has become an important "bottleneck" restricting expressway traffic. This paper focuses on the static control of urban expressway entrances and exits, and mainly studies the channelization method and its control effect of the main entrance and exit weaving area of Huai'an Road in Shijiazhuang City.Based on a careful summary of the relevant literature on the road weaving area, the important characteristics of vehicle following and lane change in the weaving area, the factors affecting vehicle operation, and the method of marking control are systematically analyzed.Multiple strategic plans and multiple evaluation indicators of their operating effects. Then, based on the survey data, the traffic simulation modeling of the important entrances and exits of Huai'an Road was carried out,and the simulation model was calibrated using the orthogonal design method.Utilizing the established traffic simulation model and adopting multiple control strategies,a simulation experiment scheme was designed to realize the traffic simulation operation under the multi-mode control strategy. The results show that under a variety of traffic environments, freely interleaved marking control is generally better than first-in-first-out and first-in-first-out control. This study has the particularity of Shijiazhuang transportation project and the generality of analysis methods. It is hoped that it can provide a reference for comparable projects to formulate weaving area marking control strategies, and provide reference for studying weaving area control strategies and traffic simulation technology applications.
