In the vehicle ad hoc network, vehicles regularly broadcast Basic Safety Message(BSM)to realize vehicle cooperative perception.BSM high reliability transmission guarantees the quality of service(QoS)of security applications.Recently, the interference-based capacity model has aroused widespread concern in the industry and academia. The model can more realistically and effectively evaluate the QoS of vehicle-mounted ad hoc networks in security applications. However,in the one-dimensional highway scenario, the calculation of numerical integration is very large when deducing the node transmission probability and SIR distribution, which limits the widespread use of the model in the vehicle ad hoc network.Furthermore,in real communication systems,it is observed that SINR greater than a given threshold does not necessarily result in successful BSM reception. Therefore, based on reasonable and general assumptions, this paper proposes a SINR threshold model and a SINR-FER curve model for the BSM broadcast service in a one-dimensional highway scene to study its service quality and transmission capacity.Aiming at the problem of large calculation amount of derivation node transmission probability and SIR distribution numerical integration in the interference-based capacity model,a simple and effective new method to derive the SINR distribution of IEEE802.11 p broadcast Ad Hoc network is proposed. In the network, this method does not undergo many complicated iterations and high-order integration. The SINR distribution is obtained by adjusting the interference area at a given SINR threshold, and the SINR threshold model is proposed.Compared with the interference-based capacity model, this analysis method is faster and more accurate. In the actual communication system,it is observed that SINR greater than a given threshold does not necessarily result in successful BSM reception.Based on the SINR distribution deduced above and the SINR-FER curve obtained in the experiment, this paper proposes a SINR-FER curve model for evaluating vehicle QoS of security application in networking.Compared with the SINR threshold model, the SINR-FER curve model is more in line with the actual communication system. The proposed analytical model has been verified by numerical calculation and NS2 network simulation. For the original NS2 network simulator, only the impact of the SINR threshold on the successful reception of the data packet is considered, and the impact of the frame error rate and received signal strength on the successful reception of the data packet is not considered, resulting in the failure to meet the SINR-FER curve model simulation problem. The simulator has been improved. The improved NS2 network simulator also considers the effect of frame error rate and received signal strength on the successful reception of data packets, which can meet the SINR-FER curve model simulation.
