The aging is increasing,so that the problem of the elderly has become an important concern of the society.The improvement of living standards makes the elderly group pay more attention to their own health and often has the habit of going out to exercise.However,the physiology of the elderly is declining,and the state of life and movement often makes their children worry.Smart products can effectively assist the elderly to live and go out to exercise,share the concerns of their children as well.This is an inevitable trend of the elderly products.This paper investigates the market of smart wearable products for the elderly to analyze the market gap,and takes the elderly group with no obvious movement disorder and exercise habits as the research object.Combining the characteristics that smart products for the elderly are used by the elderly,but purchasers are mostly children of the elderly.The research users are divided into the elderly group and the children group for demand research: First,based on the physiological,psychological and behavioral characteristics of the elderly to make an AIO system questionnaire,and use the AIO system questionnaire to investigate and analyze the life forms and sports status of the elderly.Then apply Kansei Engineering to explore the emotional requirements of the elderly.Select the sensible vocabulary and smart wearable product samples,and make sample introductions,then the semantic difference method is used to interview the elderly to rate the sensible vocabulary of product samples.And use SPSS software to analyze the score data to obtain the main emotional requirements of the elderly.At the same time,introducing Analytic Hierarchy Process under Quality Function Development framework to explore the children’s functional requirements for the elderly products.Classified the functions of smart wearable products for the elderly through research and collection to build a hierarchical analysis model of functional requirements.Obtaining children’s pairwise comparison scores on product functions by using questionnaires to construct a judgment matrix.Analyzing the matrix to get the weighting order of children’s requirements by using YAAHP software.Finally,combined with the requirements analysis of the elderly and their children,functional technology feasibility analysis as well as product design elementsanalysis to propose design principles and methods.The product design practice which guided by design principles and methods is completed.Figure 61,table 20,reference 54.
