Longxing Temple Landscape Color Research

In the current new pattern featuring rapid development of global integration,the historical status and cultural characteristics turn out to be an important factor influencing the relocation of countries and regions.Known as a national historical and cultural city,Zhengding takes Buddhist culture as an important part of its civilization.Longxing Temple,as the most famous one of the eight major temples in Zhengding,shows distinct historical,cultural and regional characteristics.Its landscape color has become an important branch of color planning and preservation of ancient cities,as well as the main component of Buddhist architecture and environmental landscape construction.Exploring the authenticity of the landscape color of Longxing Temple through the combination of Buddhist culture and landscape color has become one of the most powerful supports for the formation of the color pattern of famous historical and cultural cities,and it also plays a guiding role in the composition of the color style of Zhengding ancient city.At the same time,it strengthens the construction of urban cultural brand,inherits the Buddhist heritage,and reveals the color charm of Zhengding Temple landscape.This paper aims at exploring the landscape color of Longxing temple,and uses relevant research at home and abroad for reference,including Buddhist culture,temple landscape,color related theory research.In addition,document inquiry,field investigation,quantitative statistical analysis and other research methods are also adopted.By comprehending the historical evolution and development of Longxing Temple as well as the origins of its landscape color,the author investigates into the present situation of landscape color,and carries out the quantitative statistical analysis of color.In the research process,the landscape color of the whole temple is analyzed according to the micro and macro aspects.The microcosmic part mainly studies the inherent color of each landscape element in the temple garden according to the color principles;the macroscopic part studies the overall and regional color space layout,seasonal characteristics,color proportion and color composition rules of the temple garden based on the professional characteristics of gardening.By digging out the elements of Buddhist cultural color and defining the law and characteristics of the color composition of Buddhist temples in Zhengding,the author proposes the color protection and development suggestions of Longxing temple landscape.Moreover,the author also carries out the upgraded color design for the area around Yanguang Hall in the temple garden,which further confirms the law of the color composition of the temple garden,and provides a set of scientifically implementable and reproducible color design methods for the renovation and new construction of the temple gardens in Zhengding the future.
