The construction industry in China is booming,however,some reasons like the construction of the project management organization is not scientific and the technology is backward caused time extension,budget overruns,and quality unqualified cases occur,how to improve project performance by means of project management has become a problem to be solved urgently in China’s construction industry.Knowledge is one of the core resources of an enterprise,and enterprises can improve their performance through knowledge sharing and have been confirmed,so more and more scholars have taken into account the factors of knowledge sharing in project management,concerned about knowledge sharing and project performance.In such cases,the paper bases on knowledge sharing theory,virtual enterprise theory,stakeholder theory and project management theory,regards project as a virtual enterprise,and the main stakeholders as the member of the virtual enterprise,improves project management level and project performance as the research goal,discusses and defines the organizational situational factors that affect the inter organizational interface knowledge sharing among the main stakeholders,then researchs the mechanism and path of organizational situation impact on project performance in the perspective of knowledge sharing.With empirical analyzing tools,regards knowledge sharing as an intermediate variable,combines with four organizational situational factors such as flexibility of the contract,incentive system,organizational cultural distance and effectiveness of communication management,builds a conceptual model of the relationship between organizational situation and project performance,deduces the hypothesis of research,uses structural equation model as a statistical analysis method,and then applies SPSS、EVIEWS and LISREL to analyze the valid data collected and test the conceptual model.The results of the study show that: flexibility of the contract,incentive system,organizational cultural distance and effectiveness of communication management all have a significant impact on the performance of the project,only affecting the path difference;both flexibility of the contract and effectiveness of communication management have a significant positive impact on knowledge sharing among engineering projects,but the relationship between incentive mechanism,organizational cultural distance and knowledge sharing is not significant;knowledgesharing among interorganization of engineering projects has a significant impact on the performance of engineering projects.
