Large diamond circular saw blades(outer diameter>φ2000mm)are the main tools for mining and block processing,the quality for which has a significant effect on the quality of stone processing and life-span of blades.The axial deformation of the diamond circular saw blade can be caused during high speed rotation due to its thin thickness,which affect the properties of the blades.The deformations of the blade were examinated by saw blade manufacturer,and the prestress is applied on its outside edge to achieve the uniform stress distribution in the interior.At present,due to the low level of automation,the axial deformation of blade is checked manually,which lead to poor accuracy and low efficiency.Therefore,developing a system used for detecting the deformation of the large diamond circular saw blades automatically has a very practical significance.The detection system for the large diamond circular saw blades was developed in this thesis,and used for detecting the axial deformation automatically,which provide a scientific basis for the process of blade manufacturing.The details are as follows:(1)Modal test for large diamond circular saw blades.In this thesis,a set of saw blades with the center hole diameter of 0100mm and the outer diameters of 02000mm,02500mm,φ3600mm ware chosen for the modal test.The results show that,the blade with longer diameter has lower natural frequency.The variation for the two adjacent frequency increase with the order.The vibration amplitude gets larger and expands toward the centre of blade with the increasing order.(2)Studying on the detector of the vibration of the large diamond circular saw blades.The detection device is composed of a mechanical part and a detection part.The main part of the device is the detection part.The Motor,Displacement Sensor and Hall Switch Sensor are chosen and installed properly on the mechanical part.(3)Development of detection system for large diamond circular saw blades.The detection system was developed based on Visual Basic and consisted of parameters input module of blade,data acquisition and conversion module,data display module and display distortion circle of blade.The end jump experiment for the blades with the outer diameters of 02500mm,03000mm and 03600 saw blades were test by the developed system to verify its reliability.(4)Studying on lateral stiffness of large diamond circular saw blades.Based on the calculation method of lateral stiffness given in the literature,the module for calculating.The lateral stiffness of blade was introduced to the developed system,and the effects of different speeds on lateral stiffness were discussed.The results examination indicated that the design of whole system is reliable.The developed system with high automatic degree is benefited for improving the efficiency and quality for the production of saw blade.
