With the transformation of the social environment and economic situation,people’s pursuit of life not limited to satisfying the level of demand.The integration and innovation of functions,services,and experiences have wholly reconstructed people’s past lifestyles and psychological perceptions.Individuals are committed to finding products that meet their lifestyles,satisfy their values,reflect their self-worth and quality,and enrich their lives.For a long time,lifestyle as a reference to describe users has directly or indirectly influenced the development of the design.Lifestyle has always been the semantic environment for product or service design,but as the boundaries of disciplines are continuously broken down and resolved,the scope of design is also expanding,and the objects of design no longer confined to the actual forms of things.“Lifestyle” is an "artifact" created by people and planned.In essence,the design is the ability of people to shape themselves and their environment.This ability should also extend to the way of life."Artificials" in the design and construction.Through the previous literature review and summary(including literature metrology visualization analysis using the VOSviewer tool),the author reviewed the context,current status,and trends of the lifestyle of the study,“lifestyle” in the Eastern and Western cultures.Based on this,the author puts forward the core point of “lifestyle” as a design object.Around this argument,the author discusses the lifestyle dimensions and the formation mechanism in the context of design,mainly through user questionnaires.Research methods,in-depth interviews,observations,literature review,card classification,and other research methods have collected and summarized elements related to lifestyle,classified these elements into three dimensions(preparation,experience,reformation),and finally established a mechanism for forming a lifestyle model.In the later period,the model was applied in depth in the Aurora Co-Working Experience Design Project,and the value of lifestyle as a design object was further explored through the case analysis.In summary,the core argument of this article is that lifestyle can use as a design object,in this perspective.Seek new design opportunities and related academic research directions.This article takes “New Humanities Science” as the background,and take lifestyle as a direct design object.It divides the lifestyle dimension in the context of design and explores the forming mechanism of lifestyle.The design can help the user to make lifestyle transitions by intervening in the three dimensions and phases of lifestyle formation,namely: preparation,experience,and reformation.This study provides theoretical and methodological guidance for lifestyle design and research.The purpose of this article’s core research is to determine the perspective of lifestyle as a design object,based on this as a basis to involve the user’s lifestyle transformation design,at the same time looking for new design opportunities,through the design of guided individual lifestyle building.
