Research On Management Of General Contracting Project Based On BIM

China’s economy has developed rapidly after reform and opening up,the people’s demand for construction is also increasing.The construction-related companies’ construction capacity,construction technology and the management level faces a severe test as the building’s volume is getting bigger and the structural complexity is getting higher.In this context,BIM technology is applied by construction-related companies to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and promote the transformation and upgrading of enterprises.The state and local governments have issued standards and guidance to promote the application of BIM technology also.Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China released the 《Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Application of Building Information Models》 on June 16,2015.The opinion clearly stated that the general contractor is the spokesperson for the construction unit,which is the same as the work of the construction unit.General contract unit plays a decisive role in the promotion of BIM technology,and the future qualification of engineering general contracting will inevitably be included in the hierarchy of BIM technology level.The general contractor of this project which is under the background decided to apply the research of BIM technology.This article first carried out related research on BIM technology,introduced the current status of the application of BIM technology at home and abroad,then introduced the relevant policy standards.There are mainly four modes of general contracting,the design-purchase-build/turn-key mode in the general contracting model is selected for analysis,which is based on China’s national conditions and project cases.This article analyze the problems existing in each phase of the project management of the general contracting model,and introduce the value analysis of the application of BIM technology in the general contracting model.In the end,general contract unit applies BIM technology in the Taihe Shanzhu north District project,which was in Weifang,Shandong Province.We study its application value and the problems that still exist in the project.BIM technology has effectively promoted the development of China’s construction industry,improved the level of project management and construction efficiency,changed the status of extensive management in the past,but we should clearly recognize that China’s BIM technology is still relatively backward compared to developed countries,The depth of BIM technology application in actual projects is not enough and there are still many problems.We should continue to deepen the application and research of BIM technology,then the construction industry’s transformation and upgradation will be better promoted.
