Apocynaceae plants are rich in alkaloids.A large number of unique and active alkaloids have been isolated from plants of Apocynaceae until now.Yunnan is located in southwestern China. The climate is changeable, and the natural conditions such as landforms and soil are more complicated.Studies have shown that different growth conditions can affect the secondary metabolism of plants and the production of novel structures of alkaloids. This thesis mainly reported the alkaloids of two plants cultivated in Xishuangbanna,Yunnan,Catharanthus roseus(L.)G.Don and Rauvolfia yunnanensis Tsiang. After solvent extraction, chromatography and spectral analysis,25compounds were isolated and identified from the two plants.Twenty compounds were isolated and identified from the branches and leaves of C.roseus.The structure types include bisindole alkaloids, monoterpene indole alkaloids and amide compounds.Their structures are identified as 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzamide(1),(-)-alkaloid Q3(2),β-carboline(3),gardnerine(4),vellosiminol(5),vindoline(6),desacetylvindoline(7),vindorosine(8),19-hydroxytabersonine(9),vincoline(10),19S-vindolinine N-oxide(11),19R-vindolinine N-oxide(12),tubotaiwine(13),picrinine(14),ajmalicine(15),tetrahydroalstonine(16),serpentine(17),16R,19E-isositsirikine(18),18,19-dihydro-16S-19E-isositsirikine(19)and leurosine-N′b-oxide(20)respectively.Compounds 1 and 2 were isolated from the genus Catharanthus for the first time, whereas alkaloids 4,9 and 13 were originally isolated from C.roseus.Five compounds were isolated and identified from the branches and leaves of R.yunnanensis Tsiang.Their structure types include monoterpene indole and simple alkaloid. The structures are identified as strictamine(21),10-hydroxystrictamine(22),nortertraphyllicine(23),raucaffrinoline(24)and venoterpine(25)respectively.Finally,the names, structures, sources and biological activities of 132 alkaloids in the genus Catharanthus were reviewed.
