Dyeing and finishing is an important step in the textile industry,but the dyes fade seriously with time,the preparation of dyes and dyeing process produces a large amount of chemical dyes and auxiliaries’ residues,and consumes a lot of water and energy,which causes serious adverse effects on human life and the environment.The emergence of environmentally-friendly,fadeless structural color dyes provides a new perspective for the development of green dyeing and finishing.However,there are still huge challenges and problems to be solved: 1.The structural color on the surface of the fabric is easy to peel off after washing or friction treatment owing to the weak interactive forces.2.The weak interactions between the latex spheres also lead to the poor mechanical strength of the structure color self assembled by latex spheres.The polymerized black polydopamine(PDA)has the universal advantages of good adhesion to different substrates,rapid adhesion process,high adhesion strength,and good biocompatibility.PDA also has broad spectrum absorption of stray light,which has great potential to solve the above problems.In this paper,poly(styrene-methyl methacrylate-acrylic acid)P(St-MMA-AA)monodispersed microspheres were used as the basic constituent units.By changing the preparation process,high mechanical strength photonic crystal structure color,as well as amorphous photonic crystal structure were successfully prepared on dopaminetreated cotton fabrics.The specific work of this thesis includes the following three parts:(1)Firstly,the cotton fabric was pretreated with dopamine to form black PDA coating with good viscosity.Monodispersed latex spheres then self-assembled on the cotton fabric surface through gravity sedimentation method.The PDA coating on the fabric had good adhesive force,which effectively enhanced the interactions of latex spheres in structured color coating,as well as its interactions with the fabric substrate.Finally,the structural dye with high mechanical strength and brilliant color was prepared on the surface of the fabric,and the dyeing effect was good.At the same time,it can effectively avoid the interference of light color substrate to the chroma effect of structural color,and improve the chroma purity of structural color.(2)Amorphous photonic crystal structure color dye was prepared on fabric through repeated lifting up of the PDA treated fabric on latex spheres solution.The preparation process is simple and easy to operation,suitable for the rapid and large area preparation of structural color dyes.At the same time,the amorphous photonic crystal structure color dyes also show excellent mechanical performance.The structure color coating on fabric can withstand water immersion for more than 30 days,10 times of washing tests and continuous friction for more than 1 minute without obvious color fading.(3)Monodispersed P(St-MMA-AA)-AVO latex spheres were firstly prepared through emulsion polymerization method.Latex spheres then self assembled on PDAtreated cotton fabric to obtain structured color dyes.Results proven that the structured color dye had excellent mechanical strength and anti-ultraviolet ability.
