With the rapid development of the plastics manufacturing industry,the manufacturing process requirements for the conical twin-screw are also increasing.As the core part of the extruder-twin screw cone which directly determine the geometric parameters of the cone twin screw functionality.At the same time,it indirectly affects the performance of the extruder.Aiming at the current research status of conical twin-screw processing at home and abroad,this paper analyzes and summarizes the development process of its processing technology and processing method.A cylindrical straight shank end mill envelope washing method for cone twin-screw is proposed and applied to engineering practice.In this paper,the numerical control machining parameters of the cone twin-screw are studied.The theoretical analysis and experimental verification of the processing principle,parameter calculation and tool selection of the cone-screw enveloping are carried out.The specific results are as follows:(1)Based on differential geometry theory and meshing principle,the mathematical model of cone twin screw and the mathematical model of cylindrical straight shank end mill are established respectively.The cone twin screw is fully explained by analyzing the machining principle and related mathematical model of spiral curved bread milling.mechanism spiral curved surface is formed,the visual display of the position coordinates of the tool and the workpiece relationship,obtained by calculation a machining tool trajectory.The above results provide a theoretical basis for subsequent NC machining programming.(2)Based on the particle motion trajectory,a mathematical model of the cutting edge of a cylindrical straight shank end mill is established.According to the coordinate projection method and the mathematical model of the cutting edge of the tool,the function analytical formula of the effective cutting profile of the tool is obtained and the contour is verified as an ellipse.According to the coordinate projection method and the mathematical model of the cutting edge of the tool,the effective cutting profile when the tool is tilted is obtained.the actual cutting radius respectively axial depth of cut of the cutting tool and the relationship between the helix angle edge.(3)Based on the function of the effective cutting profile and effective radius of the tool,the formula for calculating the tool swing angle of Φ80 chasing twin-screw machining isderived,and the process parameters related to the tool swing angle are calculated.Select the appropriate cylindrical straight shank end mill size radius by analyzing the interference of the tool during machining.The tool path and NC program during machining are obtained by cutting simulation software.Conducive to the above research results,the actual processing of the cone twin-screw on the CNC milling machine,and through the three-coordinate measurement processing to complete the relevant parameters of the workpiece to determine the processing quality,thus completing the engineering verification of the relevant theoretical results.
