| Objective: Lake Tai is a significant water resource of city H and the water quality of it has a big influence on the livelihood of millions of local residents.So this study chooses two water works that have different water resource in city H.In order to carry out relevant tests and detection samples of source water,product water and tap water of two water works were sampled.As a result,the evaluation of the change of mutagenic activity and estrogenic effects of organic matters before and after the treatment of waterworks in city H can come out.What’s more,some results can provide relevant departments with some advice on how to reform technology of water purification or protect water resource.Methods: Samples of source water,product water and tap water of two water works were collected in April 2017,August 2017 and January 2018.After enrichment and concentration,samples were carried out to conduct water quality tests,Ames tests and YES tests to evaluate the change of water quality,mutagenic activity and estrogenic effects of organic matters before and after the treatment of waterworks.Results: First,the results of disinfection by-products showed the contents of disinfection by-products in samples of source water of two water works in April 2017 and January 2018 are lower than the detection limits.While the contents of disinfection by-products like trichloromethameane,dibromochloromethane and trichloroacetic acid in samples of product water and tap water of two water works in April 2017,August 2017 and January 2018 exceed detection limit but they are below the standard for drinking water quality.Second,the contents of phenols like m-cresol and so on in samples of source water,product water and tap water of two water works in April 2017,August 2017 and January 2018 are lower than the detection limits.The contents of DIBP,DBP and DEHP in samples of source water,product water and tap water of two water works in April 2017,August 2017 and January 2018 exceed detection limit.While the contents of DIBP,DBP and DEHP show no difference before and after the treatment of waterworks.Third,the results of samples of source water and product water of TH water works in April 2017,August 2017 and January 2018 showed the MR value is lower than 2 and the results are negative.While the MR value of the tap water(4L/plate and2L/plate,+S9)of TH water works in January 2018 is higher than 2 and the results are positive.The results of rest of samples are negative.And the MR value of samples of source water,product water and tap water of TH water works has a statistical significant difference.The results of samples of source water(2L/plate,-S9)of SD water works in August 2017 showed the MR value is higher than 2 and the results are positive.While the MR value of the product water(4L/plate and 2L/plate,-S9)of SD water works in August 2017 is higher than 2 and the results are positive.The MR value of the tap water(4L/plate,+S9)of SD water works in April 2017 is higher than 2 and The MR value of the tap water(4L /plate and 2L/plate,+S9)of SD water works in August2017 is higher than 2.The results of rest of samples are negative.Forth,the result of samples of source water of TH water works in YES tests showed the estrogen contents exceed detection limit in April 2017 and August 2017 and the EEQ value are 0.88ng/l and 0.79ng/l.The result of samples of source water of SD water works in YES tests showed the estrogen contents exceed detection limit in August 2017 and the EEQ value is 0.25ng/l.The result of samples of product water and tap water of two water works in YES tests showed the estrogen contents are lower than the detection limits in April 2017 and August 2017.Conclusions: First,the mutagenic activity of source water(2L/plate,-S9)of TH water works is lower than that of SD water works in the normal season while the mutagenic activity of source water of TH water works has no difference from SD water works in the wet or dry seasons.The mutagenic activity of product water(4L、2L/plate,-S9)of TH water works is lower than that of SD water works in the wet season while is different in the normal or dry seasons.The mutagenic activity of tap water(2L/plate,+S9)of TH water works is lower than that of SD water works in the normal or dry seasons while higher in the dry season.After the treatment of waterworks,the mutagenic activity of source water is higher than source water and product water.Second,the EEQs of estrogen-like effect of source water in southern region of Lake Tai are higher than that in LHT Reservoir.The EEQs of estrogen-like effect of product water and tap water show no difference between two water works.And water purification technology of water works can decrease the estrogenic effects while it has little influence on PAES. |
