Urban street canyon is the basic unit in urban,its thermal environment was closely related to citizens’ daily life.Greening was an important factor to improve the urban thermal environment.However,few researchs was found at present,.In this study,the paper aimed to study the ecology contribution of greening in the strong urban heat island(UHI),and Fengqi East Road in Hangzhou China was selected as sample.The all investigation was detected from July to August in 2015.All results showed as following:(1)Analysis of the relationship between greening and valley thermal environment 53 indexes were investigated,and the results showed that the greening area was more biger,the temperature was more lower and humidity was more higher.Then 53 indexes were analyzed by using clustering and correlation analysis,we found there was significantly different betweent greening area indexes and other indicators,and greening condition has significant effect on local temperature distribution and humidity.(2)Study on the influence of road greening on thermal environment in urban street canyon(1)The results of investigation showed that temperature of paving surface was increased faster than greening surface.In all day,the average temperature of ground cover plant and lawn was 36.4℃,and paving furface was 55.03℃.The results of correlation analysis showed that the greening and road and pavement temperature table were showing significant difference(P<0.01).(2)Temperature under shade tree was highest in the 15:00-16:00pm.The temperature under Platanus acerifolia was lower than Cinnamomum camphora(2.64℃).On the contrary the humidity under Platanus acerifolia was higher than Cinnamomum camphora.(3)In the summer survey of different plant communities,the temperature of each plant community is lower than that of the control open site(CK),and the cooling effect was best in 13:00-14:00pm.The average daily temperature of the CK was 38.04℃,and its highest temperature was 41.53℃.But the average daily temperature of Platanus acerifolia Willd plant communit(NO.1 plant community)is 35.10℃,and its highest temperature is 36.85℃.Through correlative analysis,is the results showed that there were remarkable difference betweenNO.5 plant communit(structure of tree-shrub-grass)and CK(P<0.05),the NO.1 plant community and CK were significantly different,and whichallhad the obvious cooling function.Comparing with the other eight plant communities,the shrub(NO.9 plant community)had the worst cooling ability.The thermal comfort of each plant community was better than CK,there was a significant differences between the CK and each plant community(P<0.01).(3)Basing on the all results above,the strategies of greening were put forward to optimize the microclimate,improve the thermal comfort,and perfect the environment of street.These strategies will have a gudie role for improving the living environment of urban street canyon significantly in the future.
