The land snail,Camaena cicatricosa(Miiller,1774)belongs to Camaenidae,Stylommatophora,which is widely distributed throughout Southeast Asia.They often harm crops and landscape plants,leading to a decline in yield and quality.Besides,they can also spread zoonotic foodbome parasitic disease.In this research the specimens of C.cicatricosa(Muller,1774)was collected from Guangdong and Guangxi provinces,including 20 main geographical areas.Variation of geographical populations was studied based on the patial sequence of mitochondrial COI and complete sequence of ribosomal ITS2.The main results are as follows:1.The patial sequence of mtDNA COI gene was 559 bp in length.There were 520 conserved sites,39 variation sites,34 parsim-infor sites,5 singleton sites,and 30 haplotypes.The haplotype diversity(Hd)was 0.906.The genetic differentiation coefficient(Gst)was 0.396,the Fst was 0.599,the number of individuals moving in each generation(Nm)was 0.250,indicated that exist low level gene exchange among populations,and heigh level genetic variation.The AMOVA showed that,the genetic differentiation of C.cicatricosa(Muller,1774)mainly among populations.2.The complete sequence of ITS2 gene was 549 bp,there were 496 conserved sites,48 variation sites,19 parsim-infor sites,27 singleton sites and 29 haplotypes.The Hd was 0.592.The Gst was 0.396,the Fst was 0.285,the Nm was 0.380,indicated that exist low level gene exchange among populations,and heigh level genetic variation.The AMOVA showed that,the genetic differentiation of C.cicatricosa was mainly in populations.3.The complete sequence of 16SrRNA gene was 304 bp,there were 297 conserved sites,7 variation sites,5 parsim-infor sites,2 singleton sites and 8 haplotypes.The Hd was 0.215.The Gst was 0.396,the Fst was 0.501,the Nm was 0.230,indicated that exist low level gene exchange among populations,and heigh level genetic variation.The AMOVA showed that,the genetic differentiation of C.cicatricosa was mainly in populations.
